Become an Independent, More Efficient and More Confident Freediver
You’ve already discovered the magic of freediving. You know what it feels like to leave the surface, descend on a single breath and experience the incredible silence of the underwater world. Now it’s time to go further.
The Molchanovs Wave 2 Freediving Course is where freedivers truly begin to understand the sport. It’s where technique replaces effort, confidence replaces uncertainty, and every dive becomes smoother, deeper and more enjoyable.
Whether your goal is to explore deeper reefs, prepare for advanced training or simply become a safer and more capable buddy, Wave 2 is the course that transforms recreational freedivers into autonomous athletes.
At Camotes Freediving, we’ve helped hundreds of Wave 1 graduates unlock a completely new level of comfort and performance in one of the world’s best destinations for freediving in the Philippines.
Why Continue to Wave 2?
Most Wave 1 students leave excited. Then they realize something. They’ve only scratched the surface of what freediving has to offer. Wave 2 is where everything starts to connect. Your equalization becomes easier. Your technique becomes more efficient. Your dives become calmer. Your confidence grows dramatically. Instead of simply reaching a depth, you’ll begin to understand why every part of the dive works—and how to improve it.
Why Learn Wave 2 in the Philippines?
Warm water, excellent visibility and calm conditions make the Philippines one of the best places in the world to continue your freediving education. Instead of struggling with cold water or poor conditions, you’ll be able to focus entirely on developing your technique. Camotes offers ideal conditions for intermediate freedivers:
- Deep water only minutes from shore
- Consistently warm tropical water
- Excellent visibility
- Professional training facilities
- Low student-to-instructor ratio
- Purpose-built freediving platforms
Everything is designed to maximize your learning experience.
The Transition From Recreational Diver to Autonomous Freediver
Wave 2 isn’t simply about diving deeper. It’s about becoming a complete freediver. You’ll learn how to:
- Plan dives safely.
- Analyse your own technique.
- Improve efficiency.
- Understand training principles.
- Support your buddy with confidence.
- Develop consistency rather than chasing personal bests.
These are the skills that experienced freedivers rely on every single dive.
Your Transformation
Students often arrive at Wave 2 feeling stuck. They’ve reached 20 metres. Maybe 22. Perhaps equalization becomes inconsistent. Sometimes they feel they’re working much harder than they should. Wave 2 changes that. By the end of the course, students commonly achieve:
✔ Comfortable dives between 24 and 30 metres
✔ Significantly smoother descents
✔ Better equalization consistency
✔ Greater confidence
✔ More efficient finning
✔ Safer buddy skills
✔ A clear training roadmap for future progression
More importantly, they stop forcing depth—and start enjoying it.
Why Students Choose Camotes Freediving
Students consistently highlight:
✔ Personalised coaching
